Thank a Soldier this Independence Day

Thank a Soldier this Independence Day

It’s hard to believe that this year is half over. In the U.S., we’ll be celebrating our nation’s freedom next week during our 4th of July holiday.

Most of us celebrate with parades, baseball games, backyard cookouts and evening fireworks displays. While we’re celebrating, let’s not forget what this holiday really means and the price that it cost our forefathers and the price it costs today.

Send a 4th of July thank you card to a serviceman, servicewoman or even one of their family members to let them know their sacrifice is appreciated.

They don’t ask for thanks, but we should thank them anyway.

Attain True Focus with Blinders

Attain True Focus with Blinders

Do you know why a thoroughbred race horse wears blinders during a race? I’ve only been to a few horse races in my life, but the answer is pretty clear.

The horse wears blinders so it doesn’t get distracted. The jockey needs to know that the horse is looking straight ahead at all times because if it doesn’t, it could mean disaster.

For those few minutes of the race, 100% concentrated focus and intensity is on nothing else except the race, persuing excellence and crossing the finish line in first place.

Of course, not every horse will come in first, some are faster than others, but one common thing they all have in common is this…

Every single horse in the race does cross the finish line.

What does this have to do with your business?

I see more than one question a week on various online communities from people struggling with focus, and being distracted and how to tame that beast.
