Candy Wrapper Shoppe
Project Details:
Candy Wrapper Shoppe is a website that sells candy wrapper templates and graphics to candy wrapper professionals. The site was originally on the web back in 2007, then rescinded by its owner in mid-2008.
The big goal was to get their presence back on the web in time for the big online candy wrapper convention, called Wrapfest, coming up this October. They needed a complete web presence, from the ground up.

Here’s What We Did:
Website: We built the website, from the ground up using WordPress. We designed the logo with a fresh, fun look with bright colors that pop.
We incorporated a simple to use WordPress store and affiliate plugin to make it simple to leverage the efforts of buyers and affiliates. Using MailChimp as the newsletter provider, we were able to create a coordinated newsletter signup as well as integrate this to their Facebook fan page.
There is a section for blog posts, offering tips and ideas to help candy wrapper professionals be successful.
Visit the site: www.CandyWrapperShoppe.com
Social Media: We created a Facebook, Twitter and YouTube presence, bringing the elements of the site design to their social media locations on the web. We created a custom Facebook Welcome page, incorporating their brand new YouTube video that we created just for them.
We integrated blog posts from the main site that will post to their fan page and Twitter for convenience and to save time.
In just a short couple of weeks, the Candy Wrapper Shoppe has already started to see steady growth of their Twitter followers, Facebook fans and newsletter subscribers for their “Sweet Shoppe News” newsletter.
Greeting Cards: We used their colors and logo to create a custom greeting card that they can send to their customers and affiliates. This is especially important since they are a web-based business, it will help to bridge that gap from their web address to their clients’ street address.
Connect with them on:
Video: Who would have thought that you could create a YouTube video for candy wrappers? We did! Everybody should be using YouTube, so we created a fun video showcasing the wrapper designs set to Elvis Presley’s “A Little Less Conversation.”
With the video on the homepage of their website, it immediate captures the attention of their visitors, and using it on YouTube creates the launch video for their channel. Additional videos demonstrating new wrapper designs and kits will added to YouTube as time goes on.
What’s Next?
We’ll continue using social media to reach out to and connect with candy wrapper professionals. We’ll continue to provide value with helpful ‘how to’ content to the blog. The ultimate goal is to help candy wrapper professionals be successful and help the Candy Wrapper Shoppe sell more wrappers sets.
