George’s Story:
When we first met with George Fernandez, founder of Road Trip Savings, we thought this was one of the coolest ideas we’ve seen in a long time.
You know how you have multiple keytags for places like the supermarket, library, etc? Well, Road Trip Savings is a universal key you can use at all participating stores and businesses.
But not just any store. George is on a mission to help save local, independent businesses. That’s right! One keytag is all you’ll need to shop at your local mom & pop.
George’s Needs:
While the company has a great website, they did not have a blog to share stories and social media was practically non-existent.
They needed a blog and stronger social media need a real kick-start.
Before and After
Here’s What We Did:
- Created a blog branded to its current web site.You can see it here: Road Trip Savings Blog
- Created a matching newsletter for key tag holders using MailChimp.
- We created branded Facebook, Twitter and YouTube social media locations on the web.
- We integrated blog posts from the main site that will post to their fan page and Twitter for convenience and to save time.
- In addition, our amazing social media team attracted over 3,000 Twitter followers, more than 20,000 YouTube channel views and close to 100 Facebook fans in the first 7 weeks of the project commencement.

We created the video (you see below) showcasing a variety of the businesses participating in the Road Trip Savings program.
With the video on their blog and it immediate captures the attention of their visitors, and using it on YouTube creates the launch video for their channel.
