Leaves Floral Design by Jamie Foshey

We are so excited to begin 2012 featuring Jamie Foshey of Leaves Floral Design.

Her story is very inspiring and I think represents what a lot of new entrepreneurs are feeling.

Jamie has a special event floral design business that she started just this past year.

Here’s her story:

When Did You Open for Business? “I started the business in 2011.”

Why Did You Start this Business?

“I’ve spent over 14 years in the floral design business. I decided this year that I was done with making other people money for my designs and that’s when I pushed myself to start my own design business. I have a passion for design and that’s something that has been present in my life for years.”

What keeps you moving forward?

“I like working with my clients to create a design that really represents them and the event they are hosting. I feel honored when they choose me to be their designer when they have many options in the area to choose from.”

What advice do you have for new entrepreneurs?

“Stick with it!

Financial stress seems to be the number one issue for a lot of small business owners that I know. In this economy, you have to be smart with your money personally and professionally. I encourage my fellow entrepreneurs to really think twice before spending money and only buy what they really need.”

What else would you like to tell us about your story?

“Like I mentioned before, I really have a passion for design and I love being part of people’s events! I don’t just want to design for your one event. I want to create a relationship with my clients and I strive to be there for them whenever I can.”
