For more than 28 years Simma’s has been winning awards for its bakery and was most recently listed among America’s Top 25 Bakeries by the International Restaurant and Hospitalities Rating Bureau. Simma’s has been a sweet Milwaukee staple of excellence for more than 28 years.

When did the Business Start?

For Owner Irina Yundov, it’s also about family tradition. Her mother, Simma, opened the small bakeshop shortly after emigrating from Russia with her husband and two children in 1979. Simma’s dedication to quality helped her little bakery become one of the most prestigious bakeries in Milwaukee today.

When her mother passed away 18 years ago, it was natural for Irina to carry on the family tradition. Irina credits her staff of 35 with the continued success of Simma’s. “When you surround yourself with extraordinary people, something magical happens,” she expresses. And magic is what you’ll find when sampling one of Simma’s signature cheesecakes or one of a kind wedding cakes.
